Bereavement Café & Sustainable Wreath making Workshop at Epping Park

Event Overview

Bereavement Café and sustainable wreath making workshop at Epping Park on 30th November 10am to 1:30pm – slightly longer than the usual Bereavement Café to allow plenty of time for creativity to flourish!

The workshop is being delivered by Rob French, Creative Director and owner of The French Flower Company. He brings a wealth of experience and passion for floristry having been in the industry for over 20 years. He is giving his time for free to run the workshop and all we ask is a voluntary donation of £10 to £15 to St Clare Hospice to be paid in cash on the day. Collection tins from the charity will be available on the day. All wreaths and materials will be fully compostable, supporting our planet and all the wildlife we share it with.

St Clare Hospice is a charity providing specialist palliative care to improve the lives of people affected by a life-limiting illness in West Essex and the borders of East Hertfordshire. Their care helps patients, their families, and carers, to make the most of every moment together, no matter how long they have left to live. With limited NHS funding, they need to raise more than 70% of their annual costs to provide their vital services; in 2023/2024 the running costs of the charity is expected to be £7.3 million. The hospice relies on the local community to help raise money each year so they can continue being there for local families facing one of the most difficult journeys in life.
