Events & Bereavement Cafés

We hold events, remembrance services and bereavement cafés throughout the year.

We aim to help people live through loss more easily and completely by providing a comforting place to reflect and continue the memory of those who have passed away.

Our nature-rich Parks and our compassionate, experienced team help families remember their loved ones in a way that’s right for them. Our events help connect people through life and loss providing space to remember and reflect on our loved ones.

Bereavement Cafés

We promise you a warm welcome from our experienced and compassionate team.

Our monthly bereavement cafés are held within the beautiful landscapes of our Parks where you can feel the uplifting and healing power of nature around you. You will find a kind, supportive space with understanding from others who are also living life after loss. We provide additional resources including a collection of grief books and signposting information to other bereavement organisations.

“I have been coming to the GreenAcres Kemnal Park bereavement group once a month since 2022. When my daughter died I found it very hard to find anywhere to go to be with people in a similar situation. This group has been a life line. Just to able to have a coffee or a tea and be with others that have also lost a loved one has helped me so much to try and navigate through my grief. The grounds are peaceful and beautifully presented. The staff are always very friendly and helpful especially Angie who leads the bereavement group. She is a very caring lovely person.”
“We wanted a natural setting for our daughter’s funeral as she was passionate about the natural world and studying for a degree in natural science. We find the walk through the trees calming and the changing seasons a nice distraction.
The staff were very kind and helpful at a time when we were distraught and in pieces. I don’t think they could have been more helpful.
The service room was well set up for the service and all preparations had been made so things went smoothly on the day.
There is a bereavement cafe monthly for people to meet up and chat about anything they feel which we feel is a help and we’ve met some lovely people who are in the same position as ourselves.”
“I lost my husband a year ago and I could not have picked a better place to have him laid to rest. From the very start of the process the staff were kindness personified. Nothing was too much trouble and they have made a horrible time a little easier. The place itself is ideal. Whenever I come to visit my husband I just feel lifted by the setting. My grandchildren come and it’s not the scary place with lots of white headstones that some cemeteries are. The monthly bereavement group is a godsend for me. Tracey and her team are just so lovely, sympathetic and kind. I cannot recommend GreenAcres highly enough.”
